“The time has come”, said Bobbie Robinson out loud.

Really Bobbie was only talking to Pompeii, the cat he would be riding in the Free Will test this evening. Pompeii was bought at auction earlier in the year, so Bobbie has not had as much time in training with her. Though Pompeii was such a social cat, and eager to please, she learned quickly and made for a great student.

The evening air was warm, the sun was on the verge of setting for the night, the sunsets were getting later in the evenings as the summer solstice drew nearer. The group running with Bobbie and Pompeii tonight was small, so even if this team of two were the last ones to run for the night, the night would still be young.

Bobbie lead the happy cat out to the racing area along with the rest of the small group, as the announcer called out the order the cats would be running. Bobbie and Pompeii were fourth in the order to run, so Bobbie followed the third rider and cat out to the start line. He lingered a little to give that runner so room. Bobbie mounted Pompeii, and dropped his lead rope and collar in the sand… he would pick it up after their run!
