I've always had a fascination on the changing looks of our video game heroes through out the years until they had a set appearance.What a great female representative of the series. I admit she started off veerrrry sexist but she has turned into a very likable and respectable character. She is definitely not only one of my favorite video game girls but one of my favorite video game characters.

1981 is Pauline. They're different people. In fact, Pauline has appeared in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series as the secondary protagonist.

1981 is not peach, rather, a different character called pauline.

Im fully aware that in Donkey Kong Arcade, a brown haired girl named Pauline was the girl you rescued. This is not her. This 1981 rendition was the first official art of Princess Toadstool. I know the only difference is that she's blond but that's a lot like how they invented Luigi

Peach didn't come into the picture until SMB in 1985.
Pauline was redesigned in the Game Boy remake of Donkey Kong (1994), and has stayed that way since.
