No, really, who owns the rights to these guys? I want some vanilla platforming again.I liked Jak 2 and 3, but would absolutely love for the goofy side of the series to shine if they bring it back.

Sony owns the rights; they're probably not doing anything with them because Naughty Dog is (presumably) busy, and the last time they let another studio handle the franchise, it didn't do well
As for the art itself, it's awesome. Really well done

Well Naughty Dog's already made their decision, they've said once or twice that they're not going back to games that aren't cinematic or serious. Which, honestly, it's whatever, and I really liked Uncharted.
I just dislike how Naughty Dog treated the IPs that really bought them to where they are now.
