For some reason, Snorkmaiden and Birdo really remind me of each other... so this idea popped into my head

Birdo looks extremely weird without something on her head, so I just gave her a flower crown, since those pop up pretty often in the Moomins

I actually really like how this turned out! The colouring looks pretty good, I think! And I really like Snorkmaiden's pose and expression
