finally, the regular art returns after the stressful yet fun period of time that was inktoberthis was another one of those drawings that i started ages ago, only did a little bit of, got unmotivated to draw and left it for like 5 months, then came back to it and finished it in like 3 days
for this one, i started it in september and i had only done the sketch and the lineart
that made it pretty easy for me to come back to, since i find lineart to be the most boring part of drawing, and usually the part that makes me lose all motivation... but for this one, i could just jump straight into colouring
speaking of which, i think i'm starting to get a bit better at colouring! ironically enough, i think doing inktober made me realise some things about colouring and shading and stuff, and i tried to implement that into a coloured drawing... and i think it looks nice!
...anyway, the reason i started this in the first place is because, at the time, i was trying to shiny hunt for a shiny elgyem using the dexnav on route 121 in alpha sapphire, and thought it would be a nice scene to draw. also featured is dedede the plusle, my best friend and obviously the best pokémon on my alpha sapphire team.
...i still haven't found the shiny elgyem haha |D

I managed to find and catch a shiny Elgyem after about 95 SOS calls in Ultra Sun. It was a male and I named it Roger xD

I was attempting to shiny hunt a Ralts Route 102 because I knew I'd probably never be able to get a shiny late game,ended up getting a non-shiny Ralts with Misty Terrain. He's an official member of my team now.

I once tried to shiny hunt a Dratini in HGSS. That was a mission failed. Months later, I attempted to shiny hunt a Cyndaquil in the same game. Same story too. And yet I've encountered like, 15 shinies in Ultra Sun, most of them by complete accident. I mean, I know the shiny odds have been significantly higher since gen 6, but still.

yeah, shiny hunting is pretty tedious. i don't know how some people can do it for hours and hours on end... i just do it when i have a little bit of free time to spare and don't feel like doing anything else :0 also, thank you!
