Description
Better late than never...The final illustration for chapter 4 of The Omega Chronicles.
Aria by Goha7777 ; FemShep by Melllin with casual t-shirt mod by KurauAmami ; Asari Eclipse by Just-Jasper

This has been brought to my attention, and I think it is a great idea. For all those who would like to use a translator for the text in the caption, here it is, for your copy-and-paste needs:
"I don't know how it could be possible, but maybe, for some insane reason, you did not understand what Aria said. You mess with her, you mess with me. And you do not want to mess with me. I am not nearly as patient, nor as forgiving, as the Queen."

Not exactly! I made this as an illustration for a story I've been writing, which doesn't follow the canon.
I guess you can call it a Mass Effect AU.

I LOVE Aria's expression here. Also her pose. Shep looks very, very unemotional. She's got a very intact mask of calmness. I really love the lines you let her say. Really intimidating; I'm into this kind of stuff. I also like the depiction of violence. *is into violence, too* 8D'

Thank you so much sweetie!
The lines are taken directly from my story, it was just a matter of copy and paste really...
I have a weakness for powerful women, especially of the villainous persuasion, and I think that in this context ( and the big picture of the whole story), violence is to be expected. It is after all a big part of a criminal's life.

*smirks*
I have a thing for strong and independent women, too. They are endlessly fascinating.

Aria to me is such a wonderfully written embodiment of that.

Hi, thank you to think about those who do not speak English and do not have the courage to type all the texts to understand the dialogues.
I like your Shepard, she looks a bit like mine.
Good continuation.
Google translation, my new best friend (^^,)

Thank -you- for letting me know it can be indeed useful! I will go on to do this for all the other images that have long/more complicated lines or dialogue.

I really like this piece and though the hand isn't completely visible the slight sight of the finger and then the second image. I know that showing things like that with the rigid armours can be quite hard so I really like how you've done it

Thank you so much!
I tried so many different approaches, but nothing seemed to work, this is the best I could achieve in the end.
Oh, and also: thank you again for linking me to that tutorial for the ME screenshots and other tweaks, it's working wonderfully (as you can see by the background).

You're welcome hun
I know that feeling all too well. Its the case of choosing something or not finishing it most of the time when that happens for me.
No problem hun I'm glad it helped and the screenshot (what I can see of it) is lovely

Yes, sometimes the struggle is real! But I really wanted this to look a certain way, and I can be stubborn as a mule...

You should have made them read the story!
This was a great moment in the story, and this is an excellent illustration of that incident. Although in the first frame it's not immediately clear that Shepard has her hand around the merc's throat. You just see a finger sticking out from underneath the Asari's collar, that looks a bit weird.

Oh, I fought so much with that! The problems are: the Eclipse armour's neck is a rigid structure that cannot be moved or bent out of the way, and the Asari's neck is not long enough to allow for more of the hand to be visible, without the textures of the hand clipping through the armour itself. Argh. It was a real struggle, and I had to come to a compromise in the end. I'm just happy it can still give an idea of what is going on, really.

That's where the middle image helps a lot.
But why did you not use the other hand? Would it have obstructed too much?

The other hand was an even bigger problem, and the culprit was, yet again, the collar of the armour. It was basically impossible to either have it (even partly) wedge inside it or have it wrapped around it. In both cases it looked ridiculously warped and unnatural.
In the time I've been doodling with 3D art, I have learnt to compromise a lot. It helps a ton!
