Description My third entry for the #altcenozoiccontest

The Reef Lindwurm is the most basal of the marine saurofossorids. This species patrols the Great Barrier Reef, searching for hidden prey lodged in the nooks and crannies of coral, rocks, and sponges. Their favorite is the Stay-Away-From-Me-Or-You-Die eel, as they are the only animal immune to its potent venom. When attacked, they spurt obscene amounts of mucus from their nostrils, and roll it all over themselves to make most predators lose their hunger instantly. This may seem absolutely disgusting, that is because it is. But that is why it works. Reef Lindwurms are covered in smooth iridescent skin that comes in a variety of colors, from green to white to shiny black.
