Description
This is how I chose to spend my last Spring Break ever: getting certified to artificially inseminate dairy cattle. Was it worth it? Hell yes. Does anyone else think so? No.
And PS, I was never this clean and shiny, and the cow was never this compliant.
And yes, you go through the cow's rectum to use it as a "glove" so you can grab a hold of the reproductive tract lying below. Then you can use your right hand to insert the insemination rod/gun. Using your left hand, you can manipulate the cervix so that you don't break anything while using the rod in your right hand.

If you go to Rutgers University (New Brunswick Campus), you can sign up for the Dairy Cattle Artificial Insemination course by contacting Dr. Wohlt of the Animal Science department. You have to be a Junior or Senior (preferably an animal science major with an interest in Animal Industry) to participate, and space is limited.
This three-day course takes place in Manheim, Pennsylvania over spring break (week of March 15?).

Tomorrow, I will be cowarding with my patients on the pulmonary floor. And then they'll give you TB and we'll be even once again.

Silly, I'll only fist the ones with latent TB while wearing a hazmat suit.
Also I don't think fisting you was part of my plan for the world.

Eww...lol.
I'm sure if you end up as a vet, this will be useful. Of course, who has pet cows?

XD If you drink milk, more than likely, that cow was artificially inseminated so that she'd get pregnant to produce milk. Pet cows? Nah.
Even as a vet, I doubt I'd ever want to do this again, no matter how certified I am XD.

if only elephants gave birth the way cows do, i'd volunteer.

XD I didn't think there was much of a difference in the actual birthing per se.

I don't know if the elephant cervix is as convoluted as the bovine cervix. My guess is that it's big enough that you don't need to manipulate the reproductive tract through the rectum like you do in cows. ...But that's not "giving birth." That's just insemination .
And by all means, if doing that gets you off, go for the gold XD. At least you won't hate your job XD. Just be careful where your boner is... Gigantic beasts like elephants or cows can crush things and not know it.
