Now what I want to see is for you to take a dish like blotwurst or haggis and make it look this good. Did you make the dish yourself as well? it's not just the photo that's fabulous--this is a beautiful plating, which is of course crucial to gourmet dining. This is a beautiful shot of a beautiful dish. I'll bet it was delicious.

Yes, what do you eat in Germany ?

nitroxdesign In reply to soleilevant [2006-06-07 16:06:13 +0000 UTC]

mhm....

not easy to tell..... there are some typical german menus, but normally you did not get them in restaurants in a really good quality..... and a lot of (younger) persons only know these menus from bad restaurants... and they have the image of "oldschoollike"-cooking..... it is not fancy, modern, trendy or cool..... so they often tell, that they don't like them....

i cook some of these recipes and like them very much.... but it is hard to translate.....

the modern/better restaurants have an international style, sometimes french orientated, sometimes italian style, sometimes crossover or asian, or just international.... depends...

where in france do you live?
the alsace cuisine i like a lot
foie gras with toasted brioche and a glass of gewΓΌrztraminer....

Do you have MSN or ICQ?

so, you name is stephanelle?
my name is mark.

in wiesbaden, 30km far from frankfurt

oh i see.... some years ago i made a trip by car with a girlfriend... visit the different chateaus at the loire and then travel up the atlantic coast to belgium..... at this time we used to sleep in different logis de france hotels and in some "grandes etapes francaises".... was a nice trip.... especially bretagne and normandie i like very much... the rough climate, wind, the stormy water....

my cousin married in st. malo some years ago..... she is french.... living in paris with her husband.... but i don't speak french (it is enough to order in a restaurant, make a hotel reservation or to buy some food...).... i'm not so much into languages.... english and try to learn italian....
