Konami released new, updated version of Raiden's look in Metal Gear Solid: Rising. Whether you like this version or not, it's up to you. I prefer the older, more fucked-up look more. Miss those skull screws and pale skin...Lol at the new Raiden's make-ups - just remove that hideous tanning foundation away from his face :'D

Ehhh, I like the newer version better. His face looks fuller and like he actually sat his emo ass in the sun for a bit.

I wonder the same! I'm a bit sorry they changed his accidentally honey brown coloured eye back to his normal eye colour. I think honey brown fit him so well!

It's to attract female gamers. We tend to like men that look like that. I'm a little more interested in the action platforming that Konami's taking a turn toward, however, in MGS: Rising. I wanna cut shit up.

The reason why he might be like this is because it takes place before the 4th one so he is more human than he is in the later games.

Left version is indeed a LOT better. So the eye color WAS a mistake after all, eh? Cause I read somewhere that they cannot tell the reason for his eyes being brown yet. Were they just lying to cover the mistake? xD
Anyway, I don't like the right version at all, somehow. The only good thing about it is... ah... wait... maybe the blue eyes? I guess they're prettier even though I don't mind the brown ones. They look good, too. And that tan is just ... awful XD Raiden's always been pale, changing his skin color now looks just stupid.
I heard that the next game is about his transformation. Hm, so Sunny will be there, too? I like her very much, that'd be great : D
Unfortunately there's also a high possibility that Rose is in there, too? xD I was hoping they would make her more likable in MGS4 but they didn't, AT ALL. Aww I wrote much xD Sorry!

Gah, I loved that honey-brown eye he had in that first image..! I think it suited him fine and having a body that's 90% made of metal it wouldn't be that big task to change his eyes to mechanical ones, too.
So, the game IS about the transformation? People have been guessing about that every since Konami announced they're making Rising. ....Though on the other hand I wish it would take a place after MGS4 WITHOUT Rose and John (they could just die!!) But what I wish for most is that Sunny is there (

That's only what I heard! But I think it's very likely with storyline etc. and Kojima said it'd be MGS but only on a new level. Maybe one aspect of this ominous new level will be the things Raiden can do with the cyborg body that even Snake as a human can't do? And I really want to know what exactly happened back then with Raiden. They probably show some of his daily life with Rose (poor guy though xD) and how they broke up? That'd be cool to watch (since they make 356289356298 hours cutscenes). I hope there's a lot about rescuing Sunny! A bit difficulty, everyone! Then Big Mama should be there, too. But there's not much chance that Snake (-Snake fangirl-) will be there (no more than flashbacks though) since he didn't even know that Jack was gone until MGS4.
The first thing a friend of mine said when she saw john (she doesn't play the game but I tell her about it): "Gosh, that kid is ugly! That's certainly not Raiden's. Or is it just Rose's genes?" what can I say? She's right xD (I think Raiden's just not much of a family man (just look at the gay sparkles surrounding him! xD) even though I like him with Sunny. She should be his child!)
The high heels? Haha, my little sister was all like "He has llama shoes!" - "Nah, look at the heels" - "Okay, lady llama shoes!" - "Good, let's leave it at that then..."

AHAHHAHAH! I totally agree with your friend's comment xD You know, I cried during the whole ending of MGS4 EXCEPT when Raiden's part as rolling on the screen. During that I hit my head against the PS3 controller.... And you know, you would think the kid would get helluva traumas when his mom has been lying to him for 5 years that the Colonel is the father and then suddenly he is stuck into arms of some unknown man while the mom keeps saying that "dear lil John, this is your real father". Then he needs to give up of everything he thought to be real and adapt the new life. I wonder if Kojima thought about that at all... Thus I see it would be just realistic that the family life with Rose and John wouldn't work out because the kid would freak out and most likely keep asking when they would return to Colonel, to his "real father".

I wasn't surprised when the kid backed off when he saw Raiden. And then, suddenly, he was like "wow, you're cool!" wtf was that? Yeah, when the scene with Raiden came I was like "ohhh Rose, leave him alone, just for once!" and she went "haha, lol, Raiden, I lied to you (again), your kid's not dead. you were super depressive for nothing, all these years!" and he... FORGAVE her, AGAIN? Raiden's just too naive. And I hate how she always talks like she's the victim in this whole thing, this whiny voice of hers. That is so annoying. Like: "U know you may have been deceived by me for years but it's ME who was suffering the whole time! Don't you be mad! You have no idea how sad I was! Poor me!" She should've begged for his forgiveness on her knees and nothing else! No, instead she turns the whole thing and starts crying because she was in oh such a bad situation. BAH! They made her on purpose like this. No one should be surprised that she is hated. They wanted her to be hated, there's no other explanation for her being so crappy!
When I first heard about her and Campbell in the game I couldn't stop laughing. This was just too perfect. Her running to some old rich guy because Raiden's "instable". Bwahahahah! : D

I have said for many that I will pretend that Rose and John don't exist but Raiden is happily single and most likely taking care of Sunny (as he promised to Olga when she died)

On a more serious note; the hair on the new picture is really weird looking :/ The first one looked nicer, but it's just 'promo pics' so it's nothing to really worry about now xD;

I try to sooth myself too by thinking that's a promo pic - the game won't be out in the next 3 years for sure, since the team builds up a new game engine for Rising - and with MGS4 they worked on with the new engine for 4 years.
