Description One of the most dangerous encounters is female who protects her offspring.


The story of Malena, former member of flagship 'Beholder'. After war she must face new post-apocalyptic reality being pregnant and alone. But she never surrendered, strong and proud fights for survival. Alone traveller type, she eventually looks for place where she finaly will be able to find peace.

I figured out what was bugging me about this photo. With her open top and the baby so positioned, it looks like she should be nursing it. In the vertical version (which is a tighter composition overall) the angle suggests that she is nursing the baby.

Yeah, I agree it looks strange on this one, but actually she was nursing baby on both photos

I know plenty of women who'll fight to the death if someone or something tries to hurt her kids. That certainly makes them dangerous at such times, but it's an ennobling, not at a degrading, part of womanhood.

Beautiful photo, also. It's captured a caring, but cautious moment amidst hardship.
