Description
Deathpaw stretched as he stood up from eating his fresh-kill. He was about to go on the SnowClan border patrol with Patchstar, and he walked quietly across the clearing towards the entrance of the camp.

As he walked, he noticed the only kit in MoonClan, Icekit , was out playing in the clearing. Deathpaw continued towards the entrance when the small ball of fur crashed into him.

All at once a shock seemed to rush through him. It wasn't painful but it made his fur stand on end. The small kit let out an audible gasp as she fell backwards.

"Did...Did you feel that?" she asked, shaken.

Deathpaw nodded. This kit...she's...different, somehow. "Yeah," he huffed, his heartbeat irregular, "what was--"

He was interrupted by Patchstar's yowl. "Deathpaw! The Patrol is leaving!" He nodded briefly to the leader, then crouched down towards Icekit, her blue eyes wide with shock. "I have to go right now but when I come back, we need to talk. " The she-kit nodded, and Deathpaw bounded over to join the patrol.
