First real picture drawn in GIMP :3yes, it was kind of inspired by the song "fireflies" by owl city, but not at first. i was exploring the brushes in gimp when i came across this one -- called "sparks" -- and thought, "hey, those would make good fireflies."
it's Nothing and Freezie sitting together, watching as the fireflies/sparks dance around them. took maybe 2 minutes.
you know, i've never actually seen fireflies/lightningbugs/etc. they arent where i'm from, so i'd love to see a field full of fireflies sometime in my life.

I wonder how many fireflies its normal to see at once, I'd hope alot. (i've never seen them either)
My personal goal is to see a sky with stars.
Where I live i've never seen more than a few stars 
And I really like teh drawing style too

i know what you mean, we see few stars here in Salt Lake valley, but if you go up to the mountains or down nears the border between utah/arizona, the stars are amazing. especially if you go to the lake there, lake powell, and sleep under the stars--its truly amazing. i hope you're able to see the stars sometime!

Astronomy has always been my favorite subject and the rest of the universe beyond our little home has never failed to captivate me with just how beautiful and amazing it all is. The universe is amazing ToT
