Description
Here is a series of photographs taken up close of the finished product of the larger photographed piece. This whole piece took about 8-9 months to do. It was a long strung out process that was very time consuming. The piece was divided into several divisions for each picture & drawn with a mixture of a .5 Mechanical Pencil & a variety of Ebony Pencils. What made this a hard piece to do was that each picture was drawn free handed from original photos without any grids to center them according to the size of the space given to each individual. Dividing the pictures is bamboo representing Longevity(or long lasting). Looking at the full product you will see that a series of 3 pictures separate the pictures on top to the middle, & the middle to the bottom. These pictures are what you call negative images. These "negatives" were not drawn from photographs like all the others(except the cartoon drawings kissing & talking, these are memories too) but drawn from memories that have taken place in my life. I dedicate this piece to my long time friend James & thank him soo much for all the wonderful memories he has given & inspired me to do this piece. Comments, & crit. are welcomed.
