Description
This fireless loco is a rare survivor and is at the James Hall Museum of Transport in South Africa. The theory is that the loco is pressurised with high pressure steam from an external source and then works more or less like a normal steam engine until the steam gets low and needs recharging. This 0-6-0F (fireless) locomotive was built in 1938 as works number 2059 by Andrew Barclay Sons and Co. Ltd . at their Caledonia Works, Kilmarnock, Scotland.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fireless…
