That's an amazing structure to leave just standing there! I'm surprised no-one's found a use for it!

Oddly enough there have been many grandiose plans for it but none ever came to fruition, it is exacerbated by being in an awkward area too and the access roads are poor so it cant really be used for much. For such an old structure it is amazing that it still existed but thats probably more about luck than anything else.

Ah, that's a shame to hear that it's been left to the ages.
As you say, though, it's an amazing survivor.. so there might still be hope yet! I mean, in Leicester, the old "Central" station is being restored as a shopping center supporting new developments in the ex-industrial area around it... despite being semi-derelict for most of 60 years at this point!
