~: The Picture :~Two Brother's have left their mother pack to start their own.
They select a rock face, chip and sand it down until it has a flat surface. Here they plot their terrian, and the herd that now belong to them. Both a warning to other packs, and a measage for any wondering females

Well, yet again the scanner ate it
One i worked on for me, an idea i had while desideing i needed to do more full background pieces.
i both like and dis-like this, but then i always say that about my art heh heh

mechanical pencil
'dodged' in photoshop (because the scan was far to light)

Neat, the anatomy looks a little bit weird though. Don't know what it is though. Maybe its just me. but the pics awesome. You're a real talented artist.

heh heh yeah it dawned on me about a month orso ago, the lycan at the back is standing.... but in compared with the knealing lycan that wouldn't be posible.... so lets just say the are both knealing, only ones on his knees and the other on his bum

oh yes. i forgot to say that i really like the fur texture! especially on the first wolf.

The grass is bright, but it could do with some gray-blue or tan in it (some scattered individual stalks to break it up).
The wolf in front is very good anatomically, but the one about it is kind of awkward... the eyes should be slanted a bit more "in," and perhaps where the head meets the neck re-worked a bit.
all in all, though, it is a beautiful drawing. Great concept, too. ^w^ keep it up!

Wonderful idea and wonderful artistic execution. I strongly encourage that you continue to explore the back-story. this could give a illustration sense to any image ^^

i dont agree with most of the critique people have given you. I think the simplicity of the picture is very symbolic, almost carefree and innocent in a way.
Dont take too much crap about the muzzle shapes of your human wolves, because if thats how you draw one of them, and it seems right to you, its the way it should be for that individual animal. I hate people stereotyping art like that, pisses me orf.
All is do is add a little more texture detail to the rocks in the foreground and dust off the background with a little chalk to soften it.

Oooh nice. That's really good mate!
Since 'Advanced Critique Encouraged' I shall start nitpicking:
* The obelisk thing blends in with the mountain behind it. It needs some more definition, shadowing or just a different colour.
* The same goes for the claws/fingers/anthropomorphisised digits/whatever.
* The grass is a bit too green for my liking, I think it should be less vivid.
* You've left a bit of a white line around things where you've missed colouring. Eg, the edge of the obelisk.
* The green grassy stuff under the mountain on the right is in too much of a block with a hard line on top. The edge should be more broken up.
* The left most grey mountain isnt a very mountainy shape. It would be unusual to have a slope one side and then a more jagged other side, especially when it's neighbour is also quite a pointy jagged shape. The smaller peak appears snowcapped, so it's likely that the larger would be as well. If you need mountain refs, I know a certain new gallery with plenty in it

ok, for a start this is my first time at this sort of BC. but yeah i pretty much agree with you on all accounts, the grass i did keep trying to make darker. as for the shading/colouring/ blending of the BC i was just 'winging' it coz i didn't actully have a clue what i was doing....
