First of all I want to say that the background is not mine, I found it on the internet but there wasn't any adress to give a credit, I've only changed the color and addeded the phrase. This is a famous latin quote by Horace about passing of time.
At the beghinning I wanted to illustrate the (quite common in anime and mangas) theme of black and white twins, representing all the opposites (light/darkness, good/evil, life/death and so on) *adding deep meanings to her stupid drawing* but after phisics won over philosopy and they became space and time.
The title is so explained: during ancient times people believed that the earth was made of four elements and sky, planets and stars were made of a fifth element (aether) *studying latin litterature is driving her crazy* The fourth dimension is obviously time.
The character (since it is supposed to be the same person) is mine but someone of you probably has recognised the dark girl's cloack: it's the uniform of the XIII Organization members from Final Fantasy (I love that dress *w*). The light one is insipirated to the Japaneese priestess dress.
I also drew a chibi version of them...sooner or later I'll color it and I'll put on Deviantart.

Prima di tutto voglio dire che lo sfondo non è mio, l'ho trovato su internet ma non c'era un indirizzo a cui dare un credit. Ho solo cambiato il colore e aggiunto la frase. E' una famosa citazione latina di Orazio sul passare del tempo.
All'inizio volevo disegnare il tema (piuttosto ricorrente in anime e manga) delle gemelle, una bianca ed una nera, che rappresentassero gli opposti (luce/oscurità, ben/male, vita/morte eccetera) *dà profondi significati al suo stupido disegno* ma alla fine fisica ha vinto su filosofia e sono diventate tempo e spazio.
Il titolo si spiega così: gli antichi credevano ci la terra fosse composta da quattro elementi ed il cielo stelle e pianeti da un quinto elemento (l'etere) *a forza di studiare letteratura latina sta diventando pazza* La quarta dimensione è, ovviamente, il tempo.
Il personaggio (perchè dovrebbero essere in realtà la stessa persona) è mio ma qualcuno avrà sicuramente riconosciuto il vestito della ragazza scura: è l'uniforme dell' Organizzazione XIII di Final Fantasy. (mi piace molto quel vestito *w*) L'abito dell'altra è ispirato a quello delle sacerdotesse giapponesi.
Non sono riuscita a trattenermi dal fare una versione chibi di queste due...prima o poi la colorerò e la metterò su Deviantart.
