Description
An Italian lady in London!My brother lives in a very good neighbourhood at the UK's capital. So much that you can even find there a car of which there are only 500 units in the whole World.
I took it more as a tourist's kind of snapshot but it turned out so good that I had to share.
In case you're not sure, yes this is the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.

I have two pictures of 2 different 8C Competizione: one at Portugal's Auto Show, and this one taken unexpectedly at London. So, I think that you soon will have one of the 500 made to shoot!

Well thank you. All of my pictures are from car event or sightings on the street, hopefully I'll be getting some photo shoots soon though. I think there's an 8C Competizione at a dealership here in MN so there's hope.

It's a pity we don't have car events here, not with that kind of cars. What we have here are Rallies and Tuning Events, and most cars aren't that great. You can take a look at my Rally gallery ([link] ), maybe you kind find there something interesting.

Yeap, the USA are a place where there are fans for almost every type of motorsport, so it's difficult to find one that is really popular. The NASCAR is the exception, perhaps... Not even F1 has been that successful there...
It the United States had a WRC round, maybe it would be different. Who knows? Portugal will be in 2009's WRC, but we have 30 years of tradition, and in the 1980s it was the most popular sport event, nation-wide. Not anymore, but we still have a lot of fans.

Yea, Nascar is huge...sadly. I wish there was more Formula 1 though, us Americans would rather see cars go in ovals I guess.
The closest WRC stage is in Mexico I think. Hopefully I'll get to see a race one of these days.

The main reason there isn't a WRC round at the USA, I believe, is due to the heavy fines and lawsuits there.
Around here, if a car crashes and does some damage or injures someone, things are taken care of and people understand the danger involved.
But over in the USA there would be heavy fines, settlements and other legal money stuff. So I don't really blame them for not wanting to race there.
Still, there is a national championship, isn't there? And the USA are always a great market for the sponsors.
F1 is a whole other thing. Bernie Ecclestone likes his euros and after that no show at Indianapolis in 2005, he was asking too much money if you compare it to the few American fans that would go to the track and pay a ticket to watch the race. This year he decided to can the Canada GP too when the organizers were owing him some millions. It's a pity... Especially for Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari for northern America is their biggest market.

I wonder if a lot of teams are going to lose sponsorship with the American economy. Audi dropped out of F1...I think. And Subaru WRC?

An All USA Rally Championship, don't you have one?
Audi quit the American Le Mans Series, where they raced the diesel R10 TDI. It's a shame, but times are tough.
And so did Subaru, and for me it's a big disappointment. Ever since I started paying attention to the WRC, they were racing the Impreza. Back in 1997, when the WRCars appeared. But the rules changed and they had to build a whole new car, and the expense would be dear.
In F1, Honda followed suit, and left... This is a very bad time all around. And yes, it's all due the Credit Crunch over there.
But things will pick up eventually!

Well, for 2010 the current WRCs won't be allowed. And Subaru were denied their request to make the new WRC (2010 spec) without building the S2000 - which is the spec of cars that allowed to be upgraded into WRCs from 2010 onwards.
That being, they didn't want to spend another year investing in a WRC that won't be used beyond 2009 and have to spend time and effort making an S2000 for upgrade in 2010. At this point, your guess is as good as mine on what they'll do.
I hope they do the Intercontinental Rally Challeng (IRC) next year... That's the series that comes to my island, and where the S2000s run.

Só te digo isto! A alfa podia perfeitamente usar esta foto numa qualquer brochura de promoção, quer da marca quer do carro. Está fantástica! Mesmo! A única coisa que era capaz de ter feito era ter tirado o papel das escovas!

Concordo com o panfleto, mas só reparei nele quando abri a foto para a tratar, nem quando a converti pra Tif se reparei.
Enfim, se mais carros destes houvessem mais fotos porreiras tirava!
Eu se tivesse uma 10-20 teria feito uma coisa ainda mais gira, mas essa lente é pra se ver mais pra frente. Até porque se tiver a lente e não tiver carros pra fotografar, não serve de muito!
