Description
By great request here is Making of MLP-Chrysalis.The actress who plays Chrysalis is a Fae-Pony, and unlike Changelings (which were created for the show) Fae-Ponies can only cast illusions around themselves rather than alter there physical form, and they can only maintain the form for an hour at most. This is why Chrysalis wasn't shown for most of the season 2 finale, instead the actress who played Cadence had a dual role as Cadence and Fake-Cadence. Fae-ponies have wings so they can really fly, however Chrysalis' actress does not really have a horn so a magic-double cast magic on Chrysalis' behalf off screen when she battles Celestia and the Mane 6. Here she is humming the 'This Day Aria', the actress has a really beautiful voice, she had to ham it up for the Aria reprise to sound more sinister. Fun Fact: The actress who plays Chrysalis composed the music for the This Day Aria, while Cadence's actress wrote the lyrics. Chryssie is actually a very nice and graceful mare.

Glad you like them, with New Moon really starting to peak and with school and other stuff my Making of MLP stuff has taken a back seat. After this weekend though I should have more time to make more, don't worry, I am by no means stopping with just Sombra and Chrysalis.

I dunno I've never done a collab before; and I suck at coloring to, I had to learn how to color properly on the comic as I worked on it, New Moon is almost like a progression of my art style as well. After New Moon though i probably won't be doing any large comic projects for a while.

You're not being to bold at all, your just asking questions politely. An art trade might be fun I've never done one before. But it would have to be sometime after this week, my cousin is getting married this weekend so i don't have time to draw anything really. If you still want to do an art trade after this weekend send me a note and we can get planning.

It's not in one article but if you go his gallery there will be a few illustration describing regions and the inhabitants of Equestria in his headcanon. It'll be in his 'MLP commissions gallery' there will be a page that describe the 'changelings' and 'glamourling' empires. the drawing and it's description will be called 'the league of non-alligned nations'.

Oh, and also--I noticed that, technically, the Fae-Pony has the same colors as Chrissie, just different shades. (except her eyes)

Indeed it was...see the Fae's can project illusions, but certain aspects of an illusion are trickier...by keeping close to there original size, shape, and coloration they strain themselves less when they use an illusion and. The horn is tricky enough to maintain so the character of Chrysallis was kept close to the Fae's own coloration.

Wow--I wish I had seen this sooner! This is excellent--very creative, especially with the speech bubble. I know people are asking for Discord, but honestly--I think it would be cool if you had some other character, such as Pinkie Pie, Twilight, and Scootaloo. ("How'd they get her mane so puffy?", "How'd they make it look like she's an alicorn?", "How'd they make her wings appear smaller than life?")
You could build a business off of these series of mini comics XP

I was planning on doing the other characters, this is kind of a 'breather' comic, something for me to do when I have neither the time or energy to work on New Moon. So a lot of the main characters and side characters of the show will get comics like this...just because there not a "changeling" or a "draconecus" doesn't meant there transformations aren't interesting.

well...in this universe the actors and actresses can use magic or fly and with chrysallis...well I didn't want to take her shape shifting away. And I'm glad you like the artwork.
