Description
My latest piece... hot off the presses. 1/8th scale statue of Spawn done in Super Sculpey and magic sculpt resin. I'll post more pics of him in the morning...This is an animated gif, so click the "download" button on the left to see the full image. It takes a minute to load properly so it doesn't keep skipping around all weird-like...

WOW.
How do you get such definition with super-sculpey?!

A soft touch with a long needle tool and plenty of smoothing with rubbing alcohol and a small paintbrish. I end up sculpting more with the paint brushes than I do with anything else.

Thanks!!
I just Barly started using the stuff, and all I've done is mold with my hands. Fun, but not very defined

Looks amazing. I'm really impressed with the cape overlap. Sometimes I wish more sculptors had the innovation you have, because no matter how you color something in the end, real shadows cast a lot more reality to a piece than painted ones.

That's amazing, truly evident of your skills. The costume and just the way you made it so...fabric-like...makes me drool. Same with the detail in Spawn's face, outfit, and of course the mini-skull I so loved. And the spikes...oh the spikes on his arm...darn you for making such a fantastic sculpture and reducing me to nonsensical babble. excellent job.

Looking awesome! Sadly, I can't view the animation because "a minute" means "a hour" over my dial-up (5mb wtf T_T)

I don't know about that.... If I were a real genius this statue wouldn't have taken me a month and a half to do

Sure it would have. Sometimes it takes six months... it takes what it takes man.
Really nice sculpt!
