The Ancient Tree is viewed as the connecting element between Heaven and Earth, it's life relies upon the vim of the two. Hidden deep within it, lay the secrets and treasures that many seek.---

originally made it for my current game as a concept work but in the end i just saved it as a photoshop practice..

Amazing work as always. You did a wonderful job using perspective and making your tree look like it reached to the heavens. I love the manipulation of the light source in this piece, it really gives it an otherworldly quality. I feel a sense of awe and peace when I look at this.

This reminds me slightly of Lord of the Rings in a way. I like that there are many layers to the story this image tells and in my opinion, you have mastered them all. I wish you the best of luck with future projects.

wow... the scale matched with the story behind it makes for an AMAZING piece of work. Nothing compares to your work, honestly... the colors, the boats in the back, the clouds, the way you want to just explore the inside of that tree.... everything just builds emotion in a person... and if you can do that with artwork... you've made it man... your at the top, let me know how it feels!!

Very nice, the Nordic feel makes me think of Yggdrasil, the tree between the worlds in nordic myth.

Absolutely beautiful. I love it. The root structure is fantastic, much like the Norse/Celtic 'Tree of Life'. Your structural design underneath is brilliant, and makes you want to venture down and then venture up the tree. I also love your use of perspective and in showing the top of the tree almost as though it were distorted...but in fact at sea-level view. You are very inspiring and I love what comes out of what inspires you!

Heaven and Earth-Our mind and our body. The earth is our body and the physical things of life the things we see, hear, taste, smell, touch, breath, experience. Heaven is our mind-the things we think-and how we think them. Hell is the heaven that was distorted to unpleasantness. Your art is beautiful-always- I can tell so much about you through your work-you are such a beautiful person. could you perhaps do a piece combining the phyisical and mental(spiritual) world. One where-as life- everything is God-not a separate entity. There is so much more to be said about life and experiences, God, and why we are here-what we live for-and I know that you are one who could put these thoughts into art-like you've done so many times before. You have something so deep- a feeling, I know we both feel. ( no, I'm not coming on to you lol, just typing my thoughts-I think a lot and I don't care about money stuff lol..haha....)

wow, this is just horribly beautiful. the detail work is more than amazing, from the sky to the tree roots~ the water looks like it could be real, even the puddles on the ground. the tree is incredible, so viny and weavy, you really gave it a lot of life. and i don't even know where to begin on the edifice! it makes me wish the image were larger so i could see more~~
the lighting looks really well done, too! i like how the sun makes everything it touches look like gold, and how everything else seems bathed kind of in a thin layer of gray. it's very realistic~
haha, that person down there looks so small! i bet he's overwhelmed by such an awesome sight~ <3
