I agree across the board with what you said. Though I'm going a step further ... I didn't care for the remake of Nene, Sylia, or Leon in 2040.

Well, I thought the new Nene was adorable in her own way, but yeah if only she was a new character, and not Nene. At least Linna had more character to her.

Like if we could take the style and story of the OAV, and give it the English voice acting of 2040 (well, maybe change Linna) would be so much better.

Well, they had one of the cutest of the ADV's voice actresses doing her right in my book. I just didn't like the fact they changed her from a red head to a blond. I also didn't care for Sylia's new look. Linna in the new one was really something else.

well, the short blond hair kinda accentuates her youth a bit, which I think is why they changed it. Though she was not supposed to be quite so young in the OAV.

But yeah... Sylia... I dont get. Same character designers as El Hazzard, I guess. Priss, however, I have absolutely no complaints with. She was just as awesome as she was supposed to be in the OAV.

I agree with you about Priss. While I like the original, the new version fit the character theme better.
