The detail in this little picture... wow, I'm just in utter awe!

This is confusing but interesting. Β At first I thought I was beholding the interior of a radiant cave. One which seems to be collapsing from tremors. But then I noticed that the walls seem to be clouds, so then I'm wondering what I'm looking at. Maybe some lofty, lonely observatory on a mountain cliff with higher portions of the mountain falling around it. At any rate, besides its mystery, it is noteworthy a painting with epic scale, proportion, color and dynamic range frozen in time.

Noah, your best. Absolutely gob-smacked at the level of detail and lighting. The clouds are brilliant, the building is perfectly positioned as not to distract too much from the entire scene but also gives the image a meaning, a background, a soul.
