Whooooooohooooooo time for Round I over at Game-Art-HQ !!!! I almost didn't make it in time >_>Yes, you heard me right, Link's Friendlist Totally the same as Link's Blacklist, but this time with his friends haha
Right right, now, as to why I chose Skyward Sword Impa for this round it's because I really liked her as a character and because she's badass But no seriously Impa is so cool in Skyward Sword. She's totally devoted to Zelda and protects her throughout the game, and totally isn't afraid to call link out when he's wrong.
"Do my words anger you , boy? Do my words sting? Let them. If I had not come when I did, your Zelda would have already fallen into the hands of the enemy."
She's so devoted to Zelda, she even stands guard over her for 1,000 years while she sleeps!! (oops spoiler - but honestly it's been like two years now since the game came out, so spoilers are fair game at this point ;D) All in all, Impa is one cool Sheikah.

I thought I'd offer a critique on this since 1) this piece is really deserving of a critique and 2) not enough people get a critique when requested.

On the critical side of things, in terms of proportions, I would say that the younger Impa looks a bit too tall compared to her older self, although I'd have to check the game to see how proportionate they are to each other. One thing that was perhaps needed was a few more wrinkles (possibly around the mouth area) to indicate a bit more age in the older Impa.
Other than those two things mentioned (which neither of them take away from the piece), I'd say this piece is extremely successful! You should be proud Neko, this piece is truly wonderful! And yeah, young impa is really tall, old impa is too, but when she sits, she sits all hunched over so she doesn't look as tall as she really is haha

Hey, I liked OoT Impa as well, but you've got to admit this one definitely has one of the best, probably THE best, design.

SS Impa is the best hands down. OoT Impa was OK, but she didn't do much. Then again, we never saw what happened to Zelda over those 7 years but we assume Impa taught her how to be a sheikah during that time. But then, we never see all that so SS Impa remains my favorite incarnation.

I don't really like the 'chubby granny' type Impas, although I can certainly understand them. No one expects the friendly granny to be able to kick butt. XD

Heck even Granny Impa in SS was cool. She's been watching over Zelda for 1,000 years, and then Zelda and Link both descend from Skyloft, and Granny Impa already knows what's going to happen to them but she still sends them on their way even though it probably hurt her inside to do it. and even then she stands guard against demise and even helps Groose rig his... whatever that is.... to help Link stop the Imprisoned from escaping. Granny Impa is still badass.

The Goddess Hylia probably used the same power she used to strengthen the Imprisoned's Seal to also prolong Impa's life. Thus, when Zelda and Link left, and the Goddess Hylia's power gone, Impa faded away.
