Man, do I miss Ray in a jacket (not talking about the tails-like head though). Seriously, it made him stand out from rest of Sonic characters (In a good way of course) and I really need more of it.

The tails head looking ray is the first ray I ever saw then I saw him with his other design and I didn't know who that was at first that was a long time ago i prefer archie rays design I just like his round tails head
But yeah rays jacket I miss it
I miss ray and mighty in the comics 😧 I wish they could be in the idw but I guess sega doesn't wanna take a chance with people messing up stuff with thier characters

Oh yes. I didn't mind ''Tails head'' at first either it's just that people ruined it for me (and I'm one of few people who can actually differ both Tails and Ray's former Archie design (even without the jacket) unlike most who would knock it off and stating that it ''looks exactly the same'' or like ''Tails' inbred cousin''). But then again, it's not like his original head is that special either. His SEGASonic design is way too basic even for classic universe if we're gonna be honest. I don't mind his Mania look for classic universe but for modern universe, we would need something more creative.
I'm so relieved right now to find another person who doesn't have problem with Ray design with jacket. In fact, it is my favorite character design ever and it almost cured my depression, not to mention it was the first time I found a good role model. So yes, if Ray ever makes his appearance in modern games (or any piece of modern media) he should totally have the jacket because without it he just feels like something we already have.
