Very cool. I think your backlighting is too harsh = it's destroying the focus of the piece. Another idea would be to create a lightsource behind him, maybe a different colour and make it really soft.

I'm talking about the light behind him -it is currently hitting his cloak. I'd imagine an entrance behind him maybe during the evening, so you could create a blue moon shine to sell the idea he's out at night (vampire)
