Description
Janine Melnitz, from the "Real Ghostbusters" animated series (available on Netflix), or "The Janine Show" as I like to call it. She isn't just eye candy either - she can hold her own with a particle accelerator on her back.Sure, the four boys in jumpsuits get all the screen time, but for me, it was she who makes the show worth watching.
"Janine Melnitz", "Ghostbusters" & the Ghostbusters logo are property of Sony.

Ahhhh, you did another one. I see you share the same feelings for Real Ghostbusters Janine as I do. While I liked the show in general, Janine was one of the main reasons why I watched the show. I actually thought her character was done better in the cartoon than in the actual movie. Even though I do like Annie Potts, whomever drew Janine for the cartoon really made her a 'hottie'. I always loved that red hairstyle of hers and she always had on something sleeveless and liked to show off her legs.
You drew her well, Great job!

Glad you think so. She's one of my favourite characters ever, and a joy to draw.

This looks exactly like the Janine from the cartoon! You did an awesome job with capturing her likeness.

Boy, I love the way you did this. You captured her likeness and personality quite well, and I agree--whe was quite sexy for 1896 standards. And I always admired how strong she was (not too many strong female characters at that time) espcially around 4 bachelors, one of whom had the hots for her.

She looks wonderful! I love your style and how you portrayed such a wonderful 80's character and cartoon personality.

Yup, the episode "Janine, You've Changed" explained why her appearance changed over the course of the series. The episode was written by well-known sci-fi writer J. Michael Straczynski [link] . You can find the episode on Youtube.

I remember that episode well. Egon finally tells her "I love you".
I read somewhere that the reason they made her design more "girly" is because some people thought she was too strong as a female character (which I think is bullsh!t - her strength is what made her so memorable). Then again, this was the 1980s.
These days you have strong female characters left and right.

Yeah, Also the name of the villain of that episode reflects on the retards who made the changes.
When i was i kid i wasn't bother by Janine's attitued towards the characters, Made it fun when we see her talking back at the guys, Especially Peter.
I do hate the new design they gave her since it was also to make her look girly, The original Janine was really hot, Even shown a nice scene of her trying to take a shower until frogs came out instead of water.

"Egon"? What the!???
Yeah. She was strangely attractive to me, I can't pinpoint why. I hated it when the animation crew decided to change the way she was drawn.

I was the "smart kid" so everyone called me Einstein. Then RGB came out and everyone started calling me Egon instead. I didn't mind, I always though Egon was the coolest.
