Description
A commission forTook such a long time to do, but I'm glad it's done. It was difficult, as the reference picture I used was of an extremely low resolution, which made it hard, but it turned out ok!
There is no point in you wasting your precious energy by critiquing, because it's already on it's way over to America.

You did a great job on this. You've probably drawn a great picture of Eowyn. I love it!

Beautiful! It's so realistic. (I suck at realism, lol.)

It's beautiful I especially love the details on the dress/shirt/top/whatever and the crown. Bravo!

Well, just a critique so you might improve in the future (I hope you don't mind)... you've done the proportions and likeness very well but you might want to try smoother paper (or using something to blend) and using darker pencils (just me, but I never use anything lighter than HB). Keep it up

paper is a bitch isn't it!!! lol. I use blending stumps and cotton wool balls to blend, but I've never liked the grain of my paper. I used to use the plain photocopy paper, and that stuff was so sleek and gorgeous, but I was bullied into using the stuff that this portrait is on, by my parents and grandparents. Unfortunately, I don't have the kind of money to buy the really good stuff, and I'm not sure that we have the Bristol board here in New Zealand.
thankyou very much though!!

Yeah, I haven't seen bristol board anywhere. Why did they make you use that paper?

coz they think that it is proper artists paper. *stabs them* I've been told by the majority of people that Bristol board is the way to go, but i dunno. what do you use?

Yeah, I used this cheap drawing paper my mum bought for most of mine, you can kinda see the texture of the paper in the scans but it was actually better than printer paper. I recently bought some 'bockingford' paper which is a bit better, the only drawing I've done on it so far is 'Cold'. But yeah, what I'd suggest is just going into an art store and getting whichever paper feels the smoothest.

Yeah, this portrait was done on Bockingford. I don't like the texture/grain of the paper, but I can't afford to buy better paper.

I'm so glad you like it! I'm paranoid that it will get lost in the mail or something scary like that.

Hello my dear friend! Just a note to let you know "Eowyn" arrived safely yesterday. You are an amazing artist young lady. Your pencil sketch is even prettier in real life than on your site. Thanks again.
Merry Christmas
