Director's Commentary: OMG, I’m SO proud of this page mainly due to how I describe Wizards vs Sorcerers. For WC universe, it’s ‘sort of’ annoying that antagonists are mostly male wizards besides the stereotypical view that fairies are ‘heroes’ and witches are ‘enemies’. Again, these are general concepts of how we see wizards/sorcerers today in games, magical fantasy, and so on, such as Harry Potter and Final Fantasy. How I described ‘my versions’ are actually comparing Valtor and Nabu. Although it’s true that they both are categorized as officially wizards, there are some dubs that say otherwise. For example, in all dubs of WC S3, except for 4kids, Valtor is known as a sorcerer. One difference I saw between Valtor and Nabu is that Valtor prefers more magic knowledge (he keeps stealing each realm’s magic treasures, such as magic books and scrolls, even those from Alfea and Lightrock), while Nabu learned his magic from talking with the guards when he was growing up. Hence why I think Nabu’s magic is more natural aka learning on hand, while Valtor is more arcane magic aka destructive. Also, unlike Ogron in S4E13, there’s no evidence that Valtor could wield weapons. However, at first look, Valtor does look like he has the physique to do so. So, my plan for my Nabu is that he’s gonna be a Sorcerer in the FLM universe. Again, I want to make my world ‘fair’ and ‘equal’, hence u see disadvantages and advantages between a wizard and sorcerer. Oh btw, these drawings are randomly drawn. I like the wizard one the best :3
