Physical Description: A Little Owl (Athene noctua) who's generally frowning. He looks similar to a Burrowing Owl, with a rounder head and "normal" owl legs; he's brown, with white mottled into his feathers. His legs are feathered, and white like the rest of his underside. He often has a quill (usually one of his own) tied to his leg for note-keeping or recording the day's events.

Personality: He has a tendency towards grumpiness, but he's very, very passionate about his interests. Do not say that Ga'Hoology is boring around him, or you will get an earful. He's very smart and loves to read, but may procrastinate and often can be seen cramming the day before a quiz. Although he's sort of gruff on the outside, he's a total nerd, and also is a good friend once you get to know him. Just... expect unprompted history lessons at any given moment.

Backstory: He was born at the Great Ga'Hoole Tree, and always intended to follow in the footsteps of the Guardians. He's a bookish sort of owl, and doesn't expect to be on the front lines, but he still hopes to do his part for the tree.

Relationships: None yet.

Other: A fan of Otulissa's writings, often found with one of her works. He's a novice poet and fiction writer, but as of yet hasn't let on to anyone about it.

Roleplaying Sample: Argo had his beak in a book, scanning the pages so intently that he didn't even notice the newest addition to the room. Born in the tree, he had grown up reading and learning, and while other owls turned to the sky or even the forge, Argo found his calling in the pages of the books and at home within the tree. Owls mocked Ga'Hoolology as being "boring"- the worst of them said that it was unimportant, but Argo knew it was more important than those owls knew. Learning about the tree that gave the owls life, and learning about the history of the tree and all that lived in it was what gave life to the other chaws, it was what allowed their to be chaws, to be Guardians of Ga'Hoole... but right now, he was simply invested in the novel he was reading, a cleverly written mystery in a series he adored.
