"It's over there- right there! Can't you see it?"Boy, are dreams weird. I mean, my friend mentioned that show once that day, at random, and I dreamed about it. Just how? XD
Anyway, if you haven't guessed it yet, this was inspired by a recent dream of mine. I think my obsession with space has finally found its way into my sleep- most of the dream was about finding a way to a world which only few can see. Heh, I remember dream-me liking the idea (my dreams are usually like movies- I'm an invisible floating head that just stands back and watches), but thought I couldn't use it, because it was already being used by the show. Now that I know it was just a dream, I'm like, yesss.
And, of course, I've already started building a story around it. The girl in the picture was also in the dream, only that she had white/platinum hair. I decided to go with brown for now.
And... wow, an actual background? Yes, people, it happened. I used perspective! Of course, there are still things I'm not satisfied with, but since it's the first background in a while, I won't complain so much. Critiques are always appreciated, though!

Ah, dreams, excellent places to look for inspiration. Especially for story-writing. In fact, did I tell you that the whole concept of the Rebirth Place was actually based on a dream? As well as the Gregory Horror Show But a lot of details had to be changed. And I agree with you on the whole something-gets-mentioned-once-and-suddenly-it's-in-your-dream thing.

Oh, definitely, although they can get pretty confusing sometimes XP And no, you didn't, but I do remember you mentioning that the Blind Marionette was inspired by a dream. Was it the same dream? Because I'd definitely like to hear about it. And really? Have you experienced it as well?

Actually, no, not the same dream. The Marionette dream came first. I remember I went into a heart-shaped hole in a cavern shaped like a giant face, and an old woman was holding her and warning people about the effects. The Place dream didn't come until much later, but it was worlds different from the final draft. Well, it seems that way to me at least. Without giving too much away about the actual series, some of the roles were switched. For one thing, I think Nalia may have been a guy, many of the characters present in the Place were either absent or twisted beyond recognition, some GHS characters were there, Horace fed people poison, and Luanna was much more... What's a good word to use here?... Flirtatious? *ahem* And yes, I've experienced that before.

Yes, I really ought to. I think I'll start drawing "the prickly monster" from one of my dreams; he's always intrigued me (well except when he scared me half to death in the dream...).
