could you release the psd for these? I love them and would like to make my own versions for lesser known adobe products such as story. also i thought about actually creating some app icons in this style, to go along with these. love what you did!

I've got Photoshop CS5 Extended. But have not installed it yet. Is there a big differences?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

nokari In reply to Alexander-GG [2010-05-02 09:20:34 +0000 UTC]

You might as well install it and see for yourself. If you're going from CS4 to CS5 then you won't see huge differences, but a jump from any other version should be noticeable.

Alexander-GG In reply to nokari [2010-05-02 15:29:21 +0000 UTC]

I have CS4 installed now. If I want to install CS5 I should remove CS4 first. I'm not sure that I can install CS5 over CS4 without problems. I think such "upgrading" will left a lot of traces in registry. I want to wait a bit and when I will reinstall the whole Windows (I think in 2 months) I'll install CS5 on a fresh system.

revengexx14 In reply to Alexander-GG [2010-05-02 22:12:34 +0000 UTC]

You could install it separately to another folder, like "Adobe CS5." That's what I did, worked fine. Of course soon after I uninstalled CS4 so I'm not entirely sure that it'll work right for you

Alexander-GG In reply to revengexx14 [2010-05-03 07:14:54 +0000 UTC]

Yes, but I do not want to have CS4 and CS5 installed together. I'll wait a bit and when I'll have a free time to reinstall the whole system, I will install it on a fresh Windows.

Wow, can you possibly make some for the other Adobe programs like Illustrator, After Effects, etc.. ?

If not, it's alright. I'll still watch you.

These icons are awesome ;D Any way I could have the .psd file (if you made it in Photoshop)?

nokari In reply to fighterlegend [2010-05-02 02:46:41 +0000 UTC]

I'm planning on it

I just wanted to get this set out of the way and figure out a theme.

fighterlegend In reply to nokari [2010-05-02 02:50:46 +0000 UTC]

This is a nice set, though..

If I feel like it, I might step in and make a few icons myself..
Though, teachers are strict, and school is tough.. :/

Umm... Awesome, but how do you change the .ico files?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

nokari In reply to TorenceKodan [2010-05-02 02:46:05 +0000 UTC]

Do you mean how do you change the icons on your computer or how to convert the PNGs to ICOs?

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

TorenceKodan In reply to nokari [2010-05-02 06:33:17 +0000 UTC]

How do change them. I mean, I can change the folder icons easily, but I can't change the icon to a specific file. I also hse Vista.

Get IconPackager or use one of these ridiculous hard methods: [link]

Gah, either spend money or have a hard time.

Lovely.

Yeah I got stuck too. I have the .ico, and I have a .tiff ... now what? sorry, can be technologically challenged at times.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

nokari In reply to maxtad [2010-05-02 05:00:43 +0000 UTC]

Go to the Properties of a file and if there's a Customize tab, that's where you can select a different icon. If you want something that will change all icons of the same filetype across your computer, you'll need something like IconPackager.

It would be great if u could make an icon for the application as well since the cs5 one sucks so much

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

nokari In reply to AKLP [2010-05-02 02:45:36 +0000 UTC]

I might make that a separate set of icons after I finish with Photoshop. I plan to do a set for Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, and maybe more.
