Description
My favourite quote from my favourite WtP film, the very dark Winnie The Pooh's Most Grand Adventure.I think the whole film is spectacular and overwhelmingly sad (the bit at the end where Christopher Robin asks Pooh to promise he'll always be there makes me think of a child simply trying to cling to childhood, to that bit of magic so many people lose in the process of becoming grown-up, and I find it very sad) but this one quote is beautiful.
The whole film is essentially about the idea that things change, people get seperated by life, and you have to learn to be by yourself sometimes. Almost the only happy thing in the film is this gorgeous quote, which Pooh utters at lowest point in the film, when he believes Christopher Robin is truly gone forever - and he realises that that doesn't mean he isn't still in his heart.

I have older pictures too from when I was less able to draw haha
The background from the credits of New Adventures: [link]
A really weird picture where Christopher Robin looks baked: [link]

Wow! All of them look so good! Thanks for sharing! My favourite is probably Growing Up because it reminds me of Pooh's Grand Adventure. I love your Tigger one, too, because it reminds me of how much I love the narrator interact with the characters. I found it so cute. I remember seeing that picture of the credits~ I was going to favourite it but realized I already had XD And your weird picture isn't that bad! I think it's quite lovely!
Sorry for the lumped together comment on all your pictures, I just don't have enough time to go to each one and leave a comment but I still wanted to. ^^

...Awwwww ;;;w;;;
Reminds me of the Kingdom Hearts bit in the second game where Pooh doesn't want Sora to leave, and then the thing about friends always being with them ;;w;;

Not gonna lie. This is the one Disney movie that has ever made me cry.
This is beyond adorable. Best quote of the movie.

It makes me bawl. I cry at the start, during the Forever and Ever song, Pooh's Wherever You Are song, the bit where Pooh says this quote, and then the very end. I basically cry for the whole thing.
And thank you!

Awww... So cute. You draw the Pooh characters so well, Noll!
Such memories.
Yeah, the Search for Christopher Robin was VERY dark. I didn't actually see the whole film until I was around 15, but I remember seeing some clips from it scared the daylights out of me when I was little. The film was brilliantly animated and had a good message, but the way it was presented was kind of a downer.
But I know you like darker films, so I'm sure you liked it.
Again, great job on Pooh, and a great choice of quote!

Thanks! And yeah, I love me some dark films
It's not just that though - the Hundred Acre Wood is one of the most transparently imagined places in fiction. It's purely the work of Christopher Robin's mind, and the reality is, children grow out of their imaginations. What I loved about this film is that not only does it address the idea of Christopher Robin growing up, but it reminds viewers of two things - firstly you CAN be strong by yourself, and secondly, being apart physically doesn't mean the people you love aren't still in your heart. It's all very melancholic for sure, but I think it's a great piece of film-making.

I know you do.
That's very true. The dark theme was very appropriate for emphasizing that message, I'm sure. It just seemed a bit too... much to me, I guess.
But I totally agree with the messages there.

Nollaig In reply to Silver-Rook [2013-01-27 11:14:31 +0000 UTC]
I've listened to it at least 10 times and I haven't yet made it through the whole song without crying haha. I get very emotional over the idea of growing up and leaving childhood behind, even though I'm 25, I'm a big kid at heart and there's nothing I love more than the films and stories I loved as a kid - that's why I draw anything at all, every Disney character and cartoon I draw is drawn out of nostalgia and love for childhood things.
I'm so glad you gave me the link for the song though, I can't stop listening to it. I'm playing it on repeat to learn all the words and tune so I can sing it.
