Description
Drew this for a competition in Epilogue. Good way to kill time somewhat productively given some free time I have this summer. The theme is Anti-Cliche. Thought it's some unusual outcome for a dragon versus knight duel.Related content

This would be me when it comes to a dragon if it splits fire. It's so adorable too!
Knight: what is it that you want! Leave me be!
Dragon: shiny...

That is rather embarasing for the Knight I'd assume. I can only imagine why that knight is trying to dash up the tree... and he does realize that the dragon has wings, or is he just THAT afraid?

Wonderfully unconventional. I also like the simplicity of the drawing style - smooth and sleek.

Don't let the small size of that dragon full you. He's evil and will tear you apart limb by limb. =d

No, man! Just NO! The guy in that tin can is a coward. He could slay the dragon by SITTING on it, and he runs away and climbs a tree. What's that thing going to do to him when he's encased in armour?
Actually, that would be a clichΓ© if the dragon and the knight were substituted with a dog and a postman, respectively.
BTW, what's the huge pouch on the knight's hip for?

I think I intended it as part of the guy's side waist armor.

Hahaha. Thats pure sex.
As far as advaned critique...The elaves dont look like their attached to the palnt, but rather just floating there. A simple darkened line down the middle to the branch will fix that.

Very funny picture and great use of shading. I don't know if you meant it or not, but the picture still remains two dementional.

His legs for example are not wrapped around the tree, they are straight and not angled out. Same case with the arms- there is no sense of them matching the curve of the tree, which looks quite wide. Everything in the picture seems to lay on the same demention, despite the great shadowing (very nice). Great humorous picture though : )

I'm afraid I'll have to disagree. The posture itself is taken directly from a photo reference. You're assuming the arms and lets are hinged very close the "centerline" relative to the tree, which would require them to spread out to wrap around the trunk. But for a person with a torso that is fairly wide relative to the diameter of the tree trunk, the arms and legs don't really wrap around the trunk. Instead they "clamp" it.

Heh, I'll accept that, mostly. Despite the width of a person, legs always bend from a center point. What makes it seem flat to me, is the angle of the knee, which if "clamping on to a tree that size would have to angle out significantly. The arm on the other hand would act as you said.
I really do like the picture. But since you had advance criticism on, I thought I would try to help X)

True. I think the way the photo reference worked out is because you're not really looking it from the side but a bit from the back which reduces the effect you're talking about.
Just because I have advanced criticism on doesn't mean I would buy any criticism people throw at me. But nevertheless you have made a good point. Thanks.
