I kinda like to think that this was created by the Zeon remnants or Neo-Zeon to be used for sneak attacks and ambushes and utilised what was effectively a miniaturised version of the big guns used by the living dead in the thunderbolt Zone. It definitely would be a nasty surprise for the federation if one suddenly popped up to say hello by melting a mobile suit or two with its giant beam sniper.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Thunderbolt series. The epicness of old-school mobile suit still roams in there, also with the story, and whatnot. Remnants of Zeon fanatics would be awesome to look at.

I think it would Β be opposite from expectations!
Like it could be...Dead Silent when fired,very suprizingly,no sound except abit of a shock wave around the shooter from the Shot's size! Yet suddenly the enemy starts to explode one by one VIolentlyΒ just like that and no one knows where it comes from..
