I mean really, the Kojima team cannot touch a mech without making it awesome. My one beef; I think the Sahelanthropus design is brilliant BUT it looks waaaay more advanced than REX, and that just doesn't make any sense chronologically. In contrast, Shagohod was a perfect 1960s cold war design. and Ray was a very logical evolution from Rex. Sahelanthropus just didn't feel like he fits the tech timeline between Shagohod and Rex. He looks post-Ray to me.Β

That's pretty much what I'm thinking too with Sahelanthropus, that's why I put him as the least favorite. As for the Shagohod, I think it was my number one, side by side with Rex. I'm actually in confuse between those two, Rex is really cool but Shagohod is aesthetically cool in some other way
I don't own a PS4, I think that title will force me to buy one. Still hoping (and there's rumor too) it will be a bit multiplatform, especially hoping it to come to PC.

i gotta give a shout out to walker gear as well. small and simple is sometimes beautiful. Like a mech haiku. But also love the battleship-size Cocoon from Peacwalker. and the Pupa was a great 2nd coming of Shagohod as well, inhabited by OG Big Boss ai ghost! IDK, i love them all!
Could be possible that Death Stranding will go multiplat, but at this point, i think PS5 is probably less than 2 years away. the upside there is you could probably get a 2TB HD PS4 for a great price these days. maybe even bundled w/ death stranding?Β

Regarding the Death Stranding, think I'll be waiting for a while for the good news about that multiplatform thing. Can't afford that much buying the game for both systems if I also had to buy a PS4, since I am also very picky with vgames today (not really a big fan of console games actually). If there's no good news then looks like I had to buy a PS4 including that title and sell it again soon as I have finished the gameΒ Β
