Basilisk: He's cute, principally with that face, but, I wouldn't put the exhausts on his shoulders, if he doesn't have secondary vents, a good sniper could get those out and he could overheat, and you don't want your fellow mecha soldier die of fever, those exhausts should be on his back, and that would mean, more of him to us.

Well, it's kind of more like a heat ventilation, not exactly exhaust pipe. I guess front side has a better watching protection rather than the back. Not like vehicles which has "passive" eye sensors, the mech focuses its visibility on the front side just like human. Besides, this thing also likes running so it would lighten up some heat when those exhaust thing facing to the wind.
