Interesting, but I do to a degree agree with what mentioned earlier about style and how different people can approach the mask and apply there own unique stamp on the design, not that I don't like you style, far from it.

This does provide some nice pointers, something I can consider myself for future Mask drawings.

Personally about the whole hair under or over the Mask, I don't really mind, if it assist in character design then I'd choose accordingly, though it should be interesting to note that in the movie, the villain Dorian Tyrell when he put the mask on, his hair was still visible. Can't speak for the comics though as I only read a scant few as a child, someone else will have to inform me on that aspect.

I find it interesting that you don't make the mask go under the wearers chin. Still cool though.

this is great, a very interesting concept on how to draw the mask, the difference features, and how a person look under the mask. awesome work.

Firstly I am going to have to say... for soe strange reason I really really like the noses, no idea why just that i do XD
Secondly I really do enjoy how you show how the mask captures the hair and takes into account the thickness of it.
Finally how it makes the masked person have a literal 'bighead'

Well, my style is a mix of the The mask movie (1994) and the comics) I think, that it will be more "realistic" if mask covers all the head of the wearer. But some people dont agree with my opinion)

Yeah alot of people have been inspired by the movies and the comics, when doing their work. I can understand that it is more realistic if the mask covers the head of the wearer, however I have been recently experimenting with both Over and under as both provide intresting results and people 'suprisingly' have different tastes. When you think about it would make sense that the Mask covers over everything , but some people like exploring fantasy and thus having the mask not covering the hair. I could go on about it but everyone has their own tastes on how the Mask affects the Head of the wearer as well as the details of the transformation itself, and as an artist it is good to play with ideas XD

Indeed!
And about the inspiration... I love the movie more than a comics. Well, for me Mask comics very cruel.
