Dankeschön. Ja, die erste Version der Jyn sah nicht so toll aus. Diese ist jetzt definitiv besser. Ich habe in meiner Tochter wirklich eine sehr gute Lehrerin. Und außerdem habe ich auch einen gewissen Ehrgeiz besser zu werden.

Yesterday I watched an interview Felicity Jones gave to some American local TV station. She explained she actually trained with a kung-fu specialist for Rogue One, and did some of the fight scenes herself. She then gave a demonstration to the journalist and well, this lady knows how to kick some ass!

Ah, I know the interview. Our daughter watched Felicity's moves several times for her cosplay.
During our premiere event she fought with one of our stormtrooper. The tonfa was heavily damaged, but thank god our stormtrooper and the armor has survived our daughter's attack.

Oh that's funny. My daughter wants to cosplay Jyn too! Maybe she will be the one to bring me back to cosplaying after all these years in limbo.

We have so much fun cosplaying. Even when some people make silly comments about us. We can live with that.
My daughter asked me, if I could cosplay General Leia Organa. Ok, I have nearly the same height, nearly the same physique, but short hair. The hairdo is the crux. There's no wig available. Only the donuts wig. And the colour of my eyes doesn't fit.
But for the premiere of The Last Jedi, I get an X-wing pilot costume. I really don't know if a Leia costume would be the right choice.

You could get a suitable wig ade the way you want it, but I'm afraid it would be terribly expensive. On the other hand, a x-wing pilot suit will always be a winner, we are sure to have x-wing squadrons in any future movie!

I've already an X-wing pilot costume, but from the Classic trilogy. The suit and the helmet from TFA is different. And the suit from R1 is different too. The fabric looks like parachute silk.
