This is why they had such huge eyes in Chronicles
when I started playing Sonic Chronicles , one of the first things that came to my mind when I saw their eyes was " wtf is this ? are they on drugsor something
? "and how much they were crepping me out xD haha
when I had a conversation with a few days ago , I mentioned it to her and that she drew that awsome doodle of Shade giveing some plants to Cream XD
I imidiatly thought it would be a great short comic
SO here we go 8D
I thought the Healing Roots you got alot in the twilight cage would be more fitting then random leaves tho C:

it could be the fact that the environment is darker than it normally is (Sonic Chronicles: the "DARK" Brotherhood) The pupils in the eyes expand to draw in more light in a dark place, and contract when in a bright place.

but they also have those eyes in the beginning , where you start in the greenhill zone as well as in that city ( station square maybe?) and the floating Island , wich are all bright places.

They probably got used to bright places after staring at Super Sonic, Super Shadow, Super Silver, Burning Blaze, etc. that their eyes had just adjusted to it and will only grow biger when inside of a normal sunlit place.
