Ah yes, the literal baby is posted first.
Here's my Gijinka Hal with my own hcs spiced on top.

Only 9 years old, and the last of their kind.

You see, my hc is that Hal's species was one extremely sought after because of the powers they could grant. The amount of souls, however, does not come at birth. Only Hal knows the real sacrifice there was to accidentally gain two extra souls.
With more souls, the more power, and Hal's power? The ability to teleport as well as the very draining time rewind. It happens involuntarily, usually when Hal is about to die. Their determination peaks through and they are taken back to the last 'checkpoint' as a do-over. After 3 attempts, the rewind accidentally goes as far back as the beginning, making it inconvenient and annoying.(However, they lack the ability to speak, only capable of making soft, squeaky chirps.)
And being a kid, they are prone to emotional breakdowns when they can't handle something. They had developed the mentality of, "If it's not going to kill me I'll trust it a bit.", which is why they trust Perry and Nautilus more than anyone else(Colossus, Medusa, Myst, and Jestar terrify them to the core of their being.)

Nautilus once pressed one of his claws very gently to the palm of Hal's hand and nearly died from cuteness when the kid gripped his finger with their lil paws.
