Description So the Sphynxes are the servants of the Lord, more or less like angels in western culture: they praise his Holy Name, help faithful in need, deliver messages or warnings etc. As said it they are like "the gang of the Holy Boss".  Because they are messengers of God, I have named them after language names.

Btw, do they look familiar to you? (at least some of them.. .. )

Ellinika mi ricorda un casino la figlia di ewin, magyar mi ricorda ewyn stesso o il bambino che preferisce il calcio xD Kwadi, Maori e Kana pure mi sono familiare ma ora come ora non riesco a identificarli

comunque stupendi, non riesco a decidere quale potrebbe essere il mio preferito!

Hmmmm, I saw quite a few familiar faces before you gave us the little clue in the description and almost did a little double take. I can see that the Holy Lord has some plans for his messengers in Human form just as he does on earth!

Ummm... Magyar looks alot like dear Ewin, Te Reo Maori looks like Lusk and Kwadi is very similar to Medano. Oh! And Ellinika looks alot like Violet, I believe...

Immagino che Syandana (con il resto della pentade) sia il protettore degli Ybrids, così tanto per controbilanciare l'universo

ehm.. No.. a Syandana non gliene frega moltissimo del resto dell'universo..  e tra un po' diventerà pure completamente pazzo..  e neanche i coniglietti e i leoncini  hanno la vocazione del supereroe che difende i deboli.. e' un fumetto di egoisti e facinorosi questo..

Anyway they do look nice, allthough i don't know if they do their holy duties in their Ybrid form or in their human form? I guess the similitaries aren't there for nothing.

Ha ha, I'm glad you like it! It was a little homage to your country, my dear! (because you're such a big fan of this comic.. )
The sphynxes serve the lord in whatever form is suitable to the purpose.. As Sphinxes, Humans and even as Ybrids (but most of them will do the work in a human form..  )


Actually.. "magyar" I am not even sure how it is pronounced... I think the "gya"sound is hard like in "give"... is it right? because the same word in italian, "magiaro", we say it with the "gi" like in "jingle"..
However I loved this word since I was a child, someone gave me a big collection of stamps.. the best were all "Magyar posta".. lavish illustrations of cats and dogs..  I loved them soo much!!

Indeed i do, quite flattering  ... allthough i have a hunch that only the two of us understand it.  No matter, i would not understand the other Sphynx name without some research.

If they do their jobs in human forms, i'm curious how could they reveal their identity to the targets or even they have to blend in... Judging by the growing atheism in Iha, as you said it, it probably harder to pass on a message claiming you are the servant of the Holy Lord.

To pronounce magyar properly, well i don't know how to write it down in english as right now i don't remember any word that would use a similar part to the letter gy. Best course of action would be Google translate which can read words out of loud.
Gya does not sound like give, because gy does not sound like g at all (oddly enough) and does not sould like in jingle either, because that would be dzs then. We would say dzsingle and madzsiaro in that case.

As for stamps, i think they are equal on the world. Traditional ones, that is. They have a certain elegant style, that is international.

 It is hard to tell for me if you guessed it right, because they are easily mistakable.. and I like to make things super confused!

Yes! Most of the major characters have a double form (and a couple of them even a triple form )

And you said a very important thing: in this comic the face is a symbol for the soul (well.. most of times )..    

That is why characters keep the same face, even when their bodies change.. and this is also the reason why the face is always a human face... because there is no difference between souls: men, ybrids and nazys they are all equal..

eh si purtroppo credo di essere un po' maschilista..
ho notato che i personaggi di questo fumetto hanno una proporzione uomini:donne tipo 10 a 1.. L'umanità si estinguerebbe in fretta se fosse così davvero!! cercherò di fare un po' più di signorine in futuro..
