i've been considering getting a Holga actually, i've seen so many wonderful photos with great effects !
they can be found quite cheaply right? how is it with developing the film, do you have your own darkroom? it's a whole new area for me.

you'll sure love Holga you're such a creative person and she's such a creative camera (i can't refer to her as a Thing she's too independant) - you're gonna be friends for sure
as for the film, unfortunately my conscious age and my interest for photography fell on the digital era and i don't know how to develop films but i sure wanna learn it's much more interesting to create different effects with cross process and such!
so i still just take the films to the lab
but it's possible to learn - you just have to find some good film photographer who'll teach you

i have a similar digital-era-photographer's knowledge as you, and i have been debating with myself for a long time now whether to get a digital SLR or try out an old analogue one, but the whole film developing seems to be an obstacle. my parents used to develop their own films, but nowadays it's just not the norm anymore. and i have absolutely no space in my flat for a darkroom or anything like that, i think it would be a hassle. but good to know that you can still get amazing results from sending the film into a photo lab
do you have any suggestions of where i could find a nice Holga?

oh you've just said what i would say! exactly i mean it's a pity it's not a norm any more. when my parents were even schoolchildren they had such classes where they were taught how to develop films. can you imagine? i feel like we're robbed

my Holga was the present from my friend who knew I wanted it desperately , but I know you can easily order it via some websites

yeah, it is a pity. ha, yeah i suppose we were robbed of that, damn the times we were born! but digital photography has a lot of advantages as well, the immediacy of it is amazing actually
