Man, those clouds are on fire. I would have had to run up that hill and looked over the edge...but that's me and time's so short for shots like that. Heh. Nice capture and well done for having to work around fences and benches and a hill and a buildings et cetera.

Rest stops are bad enough without the sky being on fire. Or maybe that makes it better.

you did a great job on the filtering
makes it stand out wonderfully
i especially liket he darker contrast
on the rocks, gives them a forboding look.

The textures of the clouds and the craggy rocks really compliment each other, as do their colors. I like how the foreground is kind of bland - it just adds to the focus on the background. Nice capture; glad you were there to take it. Very surreal.

My goodness, I'm trying to imagine the ways I can express my wow factor. The landscape by itself is quite striking. The rocks clawing for the sky are impressive...but with this sky as a backdrop, everything seems all the more dramatic.
