Description I rescued this hedgehog a while back. Kept him for a year, trained him for life in the wild and let him go free. He still visits from time to time. I know he now has a mate and had offspring.

Please let me know if anyone decides to use this. Iā€™d like to see it too

Ah, my favourite animal of all time, the sweetest little bundle of... hair that has ever walked the planet! The Hedgehog!

This is such an innocent capture of the animal, I am in total awe and lust! I especially love the focus of his eyes! Underneath the leaf it appears that he is smirking! =]

Thanks Yeah you have to be careful with the wild ones...they don't do any real harm but it could hurt. Still there are ways you can hold them just need practice.

Its a West European Hedgehog.

Actually that is not a West European Hedgehog, but a species that live in Central Asian countries such as Libya, Israel, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, and are called Long-Eared Hedgehogs. Good thing this wasn't one of it's close cousins, the African Pygmy hedgehog, or it would have most likely died from the cold. What area do you live in? Glad to hear he is doing well :3

I live in Greece so I guessed its some kind of European hedgehog. I don't actually know their scientific names and such

The funny thing is that his ears were long in comparison to other hedgehogs I've seen around here.

His last visit was last summer. Terrorizing my dog to get to his dogfood lol
