Description
This is one of my spyro OC's, Obsidian, with a young Malefor.
I sometimes wonder what it would be like if they gave us a little more on Malefor's past.
Not all villains are born evil right?

Okay! So explanation time!

Obsidian is a brood-mother dragon, she helps guard the eggs and raise the hatchlings. Brood-mothers are the only dragons that are not permitted to birth youngsters of their own. They are capable of living for many millennia and are very territorial. A brood-mother is usually always female, there will be the occasional male but it is very rare.
Obsidian is an old dragon, old enough to be around when Malefor was born. She was even there when Ignitus, Terrador, Volteer and Cyril were born. Like most brood-mothers she is extremely temperamental and territorial around the eggs, she was born into the fire element and uses it with frightening ferocity.
Obsidian has acted as a foster mother to many young dragons that had become orphaned or abandoned. This includes Malefor.
Obsidian was incredibly close to Malefor so his betrayal cut her deep. After his defeat it seemed she was the only one who mourned his death, despite this she knew it was necessary and eagerly helped the remaining Guardians restore the city and welcome back fellow dragons.
