white ink is a blessing; do you use a nib/pen, a paint pen, or a gel pen?
I have a gel pen but it's getting to be tempermental as balls, and my last nib pen broke, because I bought the cheapest brand
surprise!
it sucked

I just went ahead a bought some white ink in a ink wheel. Now I just use inking quills to ink certain things. I'm thinking of using a brush as well.

sweet. inks act a lot like watercolor, you can put put some ink drops in water and paint.
the biggest difference being that after the ink dries, it doesn't change, even if you get it wet again
it's pretty cool for backgrounds and stuff

Whoa! Is that watercolor? Looks sensational!! Especially all the variation in the skin. And I love the purple in the beard, and the detailed patterns in his clothes. Yowza!

yes it this was done in watercolors. Thank you very much. Yes finding the right "color" for his skin was the tough part. But after I discovered it it was smooth sailing after that.
I have to say your water colored art kinda inspired a lot of this because I would be looking at your working an wonder to myself " I wonder how she did that?" an thus the experimenting began.
thank you very much, and I love his purple beard too. It adds a certain charm.
