I've wanted to do a Sweeney Todd drawing ever since I first saw the poster of this movie... ST is like one of my favourates movies during 2007.
So this is it, though I feel the likeness is not so good...*sigh* Still hope you like!

"is likeness the most important thing in drawing, or is it the whole feeling?"
For me it's a bit of both--but more the feeling and sense of the character that must shine through; I've seen a lot of portraits of Padme, for example, that "miss" in the likeness, but capture the emotion, and those still seem like beautiful portraits for me. If a likeness is close, but not exact, and the character shines through--then it still hits the mark as far as I'm concerned! Do I have you thoroughly confused now...?

Not only do I love his hair, but I really love how you made the blood look like it has been splattered on a piece of glass closer to the viewer. Awesome!

I agree. Sweeney Todd is on my Top 10 movie list of all time. Of course with Johnny D. and Tim Burton, you can't really go wrong. ^.^
