Well, well, well. Here we have it, folks. The final character of the Season 2 DLC Pass of Soul Calibur VI and making his grand return to the series after 15 years of absence, it's Hwang Seong-gyeong! Yep. The original wielder of the Podao blade, before Yun-Seong kinda replaced him from Soul Calibur II onwards, though he was playable in III (as a bonus character in the PS2 version and as his own in the arcade edition). But, it's great to see him finally having his own fighting style, rather than being a clone of Mitsurugi and a semi-clone of Xianghua in Soul Blade and Soul Calibur respectively.

Just like in Soul Blade and Soul Calibur, Hwang's back to being both a close childhood friend and mentor to Seong Mi-na, but in Soul Calibur 6, he now also seems to have become a master of disguise in order to help with his adventure involving the Soul Swords...
